Tried the demo at launch. Hated it. Clunky controls. Poorly implemented ground combat. Frankly, space combat bored me as well. Recently, I read a Steam user review of the F2P version. Like me, this individual also found the launch product lacking. However, his praise of the new iteration intrigued me so I gave it another shot. I'm now pleased to say the game has improved tremendously. It's now actually Fun2Play as well as Free2Play. After a week I was lucky to be able to find and purchase the collectors edition. Yes I know, its F2P, how silly am I to buy the game? It's the best way for me to show my support and approval for the great work the devs put into it. It still has its flaws and I take issue with some of the lore (although to their GREAT credit they stayed out of the pox infested Abramsverse), but at the end of the day, I'm having a damn good time with it. I encourage anyone thinking about taking a look at it (or even a second look) to give it a spin. And may the force be with.. oops, wrong universe ;-D
